Description
The Floral Design Program will be hosting a vase drive to collect unwanted clear glass vases to help local, non-profit floral group. Unexpected Blooms is a non-profit organization that repurposes clear vases and unwanted or surplus flowers from local florist, weddings and events. The organization picks up leftover flowers from events over the weekend. After pick up, they recut the flowers, arrange them in vases, then delivers the repurposed designs to area nursing homes, assisted living residence, hospitals, hospice houses and more.
They typically only use clear glass vases over 5 inches tall and they are in need of more.
The floral program is often contacted about vase donations, so, if you have any vases, now's the time to donate.
Do you have a collection of unwanted vases in your closet, under your sink, or tucked away somewhere? You can find a new home for them, and help local non-profit at the same time. Drop them off in HSC, there are designated totes labeled in the lobby.
Be a part of the process that touches the lives of hundreds of people by Unexpected Blooms by donating vases today.
