The WHY behind this EVENT

The JCCC BSU Black Owned Business Expo is the brainchild of our BSU students who wanted JCCC to celebrate Black History Month by supporting and celebrating local Black Owned Businesses. This unique event is organized and led by the BSU students and offers the JCCC community the opportunity to discover and support local Black-Owned businesses and more importantly, gives our students and the participating business owners, a chance to meet, network, be inspired by, and learn from successful Business Owners in our community. There is a saying, "If you can see it, you can be it" and seeing and meeting successful business owners allows students to see what is possible and be inspired to achieve their own goals and dreams.

Celebrate Black History Month and join the JCCC Black Student Union at the 2025 Black Owned Business Expo on Wednesday, February 26th from 11 am -1 pm in the CoLab OCB 100. The Black Owned Business Expo is a one-of-a-kind event that offers a unique opportunity to celebrate and support Black History Month and support Black businesses in Johnson County and the surrounding KC Metro area. You'll have the chance to connect with over 45 business owners, discover their products and services, and gain insights into their entrepreneurial journey. The Black Owned Business Expo has become an annual event that allows Black businesses to shine and for JCCC students, faculty, and staff to support them in their efforts to grow and succeed. Thank you in advance for your support!
