This meeting will be for onboarding interested students into Model United Nations and preparing current members for the American Model United Nations Conference. Face-to-face meeting held in the Collaboration Center (CoLab) on campus every Wednesday from 4 PM to 5 PM, subject to change. Students of Model United Nations take on the role and duties of ambassadors and delegates to the United Nations in various fields and topics of their preference. Amazing career development opportunity!

(1) JCCC Model United Nations will represent Norway at the 2021 American Model United Nations Conference in Chicago, IL from November 19 to 23 2021. This conference held at the Sheraton Grand Chicago just off Michigan Avenue, and within a short walk of the Navy Pier and Grant Park.

(2) Mid-West MUN (MMUN), St. Louis February 22-26, 2022 representing the United Kingdom. Students will need to participate at St. Louis to qualify for New York.

(3) National Model United Nations (NMUN), New York City, April 8 to 15, 2022. Students will be invited to attend sessions at the United Nations World Headquarters and will be present in the United Nations General Assembly during the conference voting procedure.

(4) Metro Kansas City Model UN conference held at JCCC; Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Students will participate in a leadership role (dias/chairs) at the conference.

* Students of Model United Nations will travel as a team to these potential locations: Chicago, St. Louis, New York City, Beijing/Xi'an (China).

* Topics include economic and resource sustainability, peace and military security, business and financing, health and pharmaceutical, human rights and equality, government and public administration, international relations, and much more. Inquire about available topics today!

* Students do not need to attend all scheduled conferences but are welcome to attend all if applicable. However, the St. Louis conference is required for New York City attendance.
